Chairman and Founder & Creatives
Adriana is a psychotherapist, educator and entrepreneur who trained at Stanford University School of Medicine, Center for Compassion and Altruism Research Education (CCARE), and Pepperdine University. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a certification as a Compassion Ambassador. Adriana promotes CafeKind’s mission to eradicate loneliness and exclusion through acts of kindness, compassion and social justice. She is the Founder and CEO of CafeKind in Silicon Valley and The Center for Self-Compassion and Healing (CeSelf) in Los Angeles. She developed a comprehensive curriculum at CafeKind that includes workshops, sharing circles and professional services for a broad range of needs including Relationship Development, Mental Health and Well Being, Career Coaching and Job Networking for women, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Family Assistance, Financial Literacy for Women, Small Entrepreneurism for Minorities, Compassion in the Workspace and Self-Compassion. Adriana resides in Los Angeles, California, with her husband David and their blended family of five children. She loves hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains, is passionate about deep dancing and long weekends in Palm Springs.
Chief Financial Officer & Fundraising
David is a passionate and people-focused leader with 30 years of experience in all areas of social impact and social justice. David is adept at building effective teams, fundraising and business development, motivating stakeholders, mentoring team members, furthering organizational missions, solving complex challenges, advocacy promotion and public policy development and strategic planning. David has led executive teams of 10+ senior leaders in all his roles. David is motivated by making a difference and providing support to struggling populations while creating long-term organizational capabilities and promoting a positive work environment. David has spearheaded diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts while communicating performance, financial information, and social impact achievements to a broad range of stakeholders. David currently serves as the Executive Vice President of RMG Housing, a social impact company that is developing and building supportive housing for thousands of California’s homeless residents. David earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver, a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University and Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. David lives by the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote: “…to find the best in others…This is to have succeeded.”
Community Marketing Manager
Fatima brings over a decade of experience in Public Relations and Marcomms to create authentic and meaningful connections between brands and our communities at CafeKind Co. Her expertise spans a variety of industries, including nonprofit, travel tech, CRM systems and services, and healthcare tech. Outside of work, Fatima is an avid traveler, nature enthusiast, and sunset chaser. She enjoys hiking in the great outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, diving into a good book, and listening to Bossa nova music. Fascinated by AI and photography, she finds joy in capturing the beauty of the world around her through her lens.
Law Advisor
Ana Clara is a seasoned international lawyer with nearly two decades of experience, licensed in both California and Brazil. Specialized in international family law, tax law, business law, contracts law, and immigration law, Ana Clara is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Brazil Bar (OAB). She’s appeared before the esteemed Supreme Court of Brazil and holds multiple law degrees, including a Master’s with a focus on Constitutional Rights.
Program Manager
Aline is a passionate organizer and problem-solving professional. With over 15 years of experience in Telecommunications and Networking, she brings strong project management and communication skills to the table. Now, she is channeling her expertise towards a cause she deeply cares about – creating meaningful connections through one act of kindness at a time. Aline finds purpose in working with organizations that focus on positive social impact and giving back to the community. It’s this belief in the power of human interaction that fuels her efforts at CafeKind, where she ensures a seamless experience for both event planners and participants.
Program Manager
For over 12 years, Raquel Bratz has worked as a project manager, leading cross-functional teams at major companies like General Motors, Schneider Electric, and MKS Instruments across the globe. She has a strong background in industrial project management, supply chain supplier development, process optimization, scheduling, and budgeting. Raquel holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Passionate about building communities and advocating for diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, Raquel is dedicated to developing green supply chains and fostering collaboration across all her global projects. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, traveling, and visiting national parks. She is excited to support CafeKind’s mission of eradicating loneliness and promoting mental health.
Café com Abraço Community Liaison
Nadja has been volunteering at Cafekind since 2017. She has been a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. Nadja has played a key role in the organization’s efforts to educate and support women in the Brazilian community throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a degree in Education and a certificate in Educational Psychology. Nadja has also been assisting with event planning at Cafekind, leveraging her extensive experience in the field. In her free time, she enjoys visiting beaches and going on hikes
Visual Project Manager
Rosangela holds a degree in Computer Science and has over 20 years of experience as an IT Product Manager, working with major entities like the University of São Paulo and São Paulo City Hall. She led projects to create intuitive and user-friendly computer systems, balancing functional and visual aspects.
After this extensive career, she moved to the United States to study Architecture, expanding her skills into new areas. Her passion for architecture and design inspired her to pursue education. She is a photographer, an art history enthusiast, and enjoys painting and drawing. This blend of technical expertise, creativity, and product management experience enables her to approach projects innovatively and comprehensively, with a human-centered perspective.
